About Murcia

Map of Murcia | B&B’s in Murcia | Facts about Murcia

More than 3,000 hours of sun per year and two seas with hot water.

At the Warm Coast, or “Costa Cálida” the beaches are long with small coves.
One of the biggest attractions is La Manga from the inland Mar Menor. This is a strip of land where you can relax and enjoy the sea and water sports.
There are vast beaches of white sand, such as in San Pedro del Pinatar; almost untouched bays in Cartagena, amazing landscapes (the erosions in Mazarron) and fishing places.
The region is also known for its varied range of health and beauty treatments.
Many beaches here are considered open-air spas because of the high salt content of the inland sea Mar Menor and the mud.

The city of Murcia

Of the originally Arabic city is little or nothing left but from the discovery of Roman wall remains shows that much earlier there was already habitation.
Furthermore, only the old center of Murcia still reminds a bit of a medina.
